I came across this picture of Allyson Mitchell’s Granny Square Wreck Room and had to share with you all. This would be the perfect haven for all crocheters!

Want a new look for your place to start off the new year? Well you can start off with your closet, Tissuepapers has a great diy project to turn your closet into a NYC botique! Growing up I had a pretty small closet, this would’ve been perfect for it.
I have a cat who loves cardboard and I’m sure he would love to lounge on this cardboard chaise! Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories has created a tutorial on how to make one of these lounges for your furry feline companion. I could also picture this lounge being covered in felt with some padding to make it extra comfy.
This is the time of year for runny noses, I’m sure you or someone you know will be going through tons of kleenex. Whip up has created a great tutorial on how to make these nifty tissue holders. You can pick some fabric to match a purse or to have out on your work desk. I also came across a tissue pillow that looks like it could easily be recreated, but how handy would it be to have your tissues that close to you when you sleep?
Happy New Year everybody, here is some eye candy for you all to check out…
Curbly posted about this amazing push pin Mario wall mural done by students at University of the Fraser Valley. These students sure had a lot of time on their hands. They used 17,000 push pins to accomplish this task, hopefully no one takes it down.
Are you one of those people that just can’t stand throwing away pretty wrapping paper? Well, Instructables has a great tutorial on how to put that recycled wrapping paper to good use, a wrapping paper wreath. There are some other tips on reusing wrapping paper over at Easy Going Green.
