Woven Kiddo Kicker Rug

Craft Leftovers created this woven kiddo kicker rug and posted a tutorial on how to create one yourself. She wanted to make a blanket or rug to sit on that would be easy enough for a 5+ yr old to make. This is created with fleece strips and simply tying off the ends for a no sew project. I think my cat would love this! I’m off to think about my next new project.

Bird Cage Veil

Vintage inspired bird cage veil tutorial! I went to a wedding recently where the bride wore a beautiful bird cage veil. If you want to save some money or are doing a whole handmade wedding this would be the perfect accessory. Check out the tutorial over at Bridal Guide, it was created by a very crafty guest blogger. The mesh part is created from a Russian ivory netting, you’ll need some white or ivory tulle, a silk flower, pearl beads, a sweing machine and some creativity.

Coraline Knit Gloves Pattern

Coraline is on my movie to watch list! I can’t believe I haven’t seen it already! I found a free pattern for Coraline’s gloves on Largely Unrepeatable. Althea Crome is the movies miniature knitter, these gloves are based off of her creation. I really gotta start knitting, I’m passing up such great knit patterns!

She used a knitting machine, crocheted some of it and used knitting charts for the design. Check out her amazing work and try creating your own pillow.
