Jewelry Tree

Create a Jewelry Tree to hold your favorite jewelry or if you make jewelry this would be a great way to display your work. To make this jewelry holder you will need a Manzanita tree which you can get at a craft store, plaster, metal rods and a small flower pot. Check out the full tutorial created by Rachel Leonard over at My Right Brain.

Juice Box Sunshade

Start saving your Capri Sun juice boxes to make this car sunshade. The reflective back of these boxes will make for a great sunshade to keep your car cool in those dog days of summer. Check out Betz White for more information on creating your very own. There is absolutely no shade in my work parking lot, by the time I get out of work my hands burn when I touch my steering wheel. I have been wanting to get a sunshade, this will be a great diy way to create one.

Cookbook Covers

Are your cookbooks covered in flour, grease and other cooking ingredients? Well, I found a great way to cover your cookbooks with plastic picnic table covers. Check out the full tutorial over at Design Sponge. This is a very inexpensive way to protect your cookbooks and decorate your kitchen.

Oilcloth Table Cover

Check out this mod polka-dot oilcloth table cover over at Twig and Thistle. You could use it as a work tablecloth for all your crafty projects or if you just like the look of it you can use it as your regular dining room table tablecloth. The tutorial for this tablecloth is for a square table, but I’m sure with a little tweaking and creativity you can make it fit a round table as well. This is a pretty simple project involving only your favorite piece of oilcloth, thread, scissors, a sewing machine, pencil and measuring tape.

Fabric Postcard

Create and actually send your very own hand sewn postcard! Your family and friends sure would appreciate the effort you put into it. This would also be a cool promotional piece to send out if you have a craft business. Check out the tutorial created by user xnickerxje on Burda Style.
