Child’s Artwork Collage

Artist Jane Eleni creates this framed collage of your child’s artwork through her website LOVE. This is such a great idea, you send her a collection of all your child’s artwork and she’ll compile it all together in a print and frame it. Such a great way to archive your child’s artwork in style. Instead of displaying on your refrigerator, you can make it look even more special.

Fingerpaint Wall Art

Looking for a creative way to preserve your child’s handprints and footprints? I found this neat craft on the tutus and turtles blog. You just let your child have fun and paint away with one color of acrylic paint to fill a canvas. Then with white or a lighter color of acrylic paint, get it on their feet and hands to make prints on the canvas. You may want to make sure it’s a kind of paint safe for kids or make sure they don’t eat it! These make for nice wall art!

Recycled Newsprint Art

I love the art at A Little Hut, the artist, Patricia Zapata creates beautiful framed art with cut out paper. I was excited when she posted a tutorial on how to create this recycled newsprint piece. My walls are pretty barren, I’m going to have to try this out to get some art up there.

Illuminating Lamp Canvas

I found these canvases on the curbly blog you can purchase them on the Hidden Art Shop. But I thought this would make for a cool craft project. You wouldn’t even necessarily need to have a lamp painted on the canvas you could paint anything. Then just mount a slim fluorescent light bulb on the wall and put the canvas over it and you have yourself an illuminated canvas.

Craft Idea

I found this really cool tile picture frame on simpleartsplanet.blogspot.com. It gave me an idea to make a frame like this for a bulletin board. When I looked at this picture I thought it was a bulletin board at first, it would make for a nice decoration and space to hang thing in your office! Thanks for the idea!
