Oilcloth Table Cover

Check out this mod polka-dot oilcloth table cover over at Twig and Thistle. You could use it as a work tablecloth for all your crafty projects or if you just like the look of it you can use it as your regular dining room table tablecloth. The tutorial for this tablecloth is for a square table, but I’m sure with a little tweaking and creativity you can make it fit a round table as well. This is a pretty simple project involving only your favorite piece of oilcloth, thread, scissors, a sewing machine, pencil and measuring tape.

Fabric Postcard

Create and actually send your very own hand sewn postcard! Your family and friends sure would appreciate the effort you put into it. This would also be a cool promotional piece to send out if you have a craft business. Check out the tutorial created by user xnickerxje on Burda Style.

Cereal Box Storage Bins

I just recently moved into a new place and storage bins have been a necessity, I’ve purchased some cheap plastic bins at Target. But, it would be even better if I could save money making my own storage bins while recycling at the same time. Urban Nest has a great tutorial on how to create decorative fabric storage bins out of a cereal box. I found this tutorial while I was gathering some great interior decorating ideas from Apartment Therapy.

Fabric Flower Lights

I spotted these really pretty fabric flower lights on Crafty Crafty. This would be a cool way to decorate your dining room or outdoor space. I already have a great idea to use these to spruce up this old ugly wooden chandelier that came with my apartment. Crafty Crafty found these lights through allsorts flickr page, you can follow a tutorial on how to make the flowers on Wise Craft.
