No Sew Plaid Children’s Flutter Cape

I love the words “No Sew”! Not that I don’t like sewing I just don’t have a sewing machine and hand sewing isn’t quick enough. Anyways, this No Sew Flutter Cape is sooo cute! It is for a kid but I’d like to make one big enough for me, it would be a nice fall overcoat. Check out the blog Ruffles and Stuff for the full tutorial.

Maple Leaf Roses

Don’t you just love the colors of fall leaves? Well, I found a great recycling project that involves maple leaves and creating a beautiful bouquet. This bouqet of maple leaf roses would be the perfect center piece for a fall wedding, or family get together. I wish I lived up north so I could create this.

Pumpkin Luminaries

Instead of carving a scary face on your pumpkins you can drill some holes and make neat designs. You can use real pumpkins to do this or I could see using craft pumpkins. Sring the pumpkins with the tiny white christmas lights and you have luminaries. I found this tutorial on Martha Stewart Living.

Bat Foyer

If you are hosting a Halloween party this year and are looking for decoration ideas, here is one… decorate your foyer with bats or ghosts. I found this tip on My Home Ideas, they have a bat pattern and stencil you can print out if you are not that great at drawing. If you use a thick paper and fold the bats in half they should cast a pretty neat shwadow on your walls.
