Thanksgiving Placemats

I remember making Thanksgiving placemats every year when I was in elementary school. One placemat had the hand print on it where you turn your fingers into the turkey’s feathers. Well this apple placemat is easy enough for a kid to do, but it looks so stylish! Instead of an apple you could make one with a bunch of fruits and veggies, a cornocopia or a turkey. Check out Book Hour Craft Projects blog for the full tutorial.

[me] and goji DIY Cereal

Make your own custom granola mix or cereal, name it and have it sent to you all packaged. Check out [me] and goji to make your very own creation. You can pay $5 to get a picture put on the label. But, I think it would be cool to create your own label design and paste it on there. These could make great holiday gifts. Hmmm…I feel like having some shredded wheat with raisins and cranberries, with a little bit of ground cinnamon.

DIY Placemats

Make your own placemats out of fabric for everyday of the week. Check out Wise Craft for a tutorial. I remember making different holiday placemats when I was in elementary school out of construction paper and laminate tape. The Wise Craft placemat tutorial is a little more grown up.

Nikon D700 Cake

This has got to be the most amazing cake ever created! It’s my favorite camera brand Nikon D700 plus it’s a red velvet cake! I came across this amazing picture taken by fsumaria on flickr. The cake was created at Granny Schmidt’s bakery in PA. What a wonderful birthday cake this must’ve been! I would love to know how to make a cake like this!
